How to install the Ring Video Doorbell 4
If you're looking for a little more security around your home, adding a video doorbell is a great way to see who's at your door without having to open it. The latest version from Ring, the Video Doorbell 4, is their most advanced yet. Here's a quick guide on how to install it.
The first thing you'll need to do is find an appropriate location for the device. It should be placed within eight feet of your front door and mounted at least four feet off the ground. Once you have a good spot, use the included drill bit to create pilot holes for your mounting screws.
Next, hold the doorbell up to those pilot holes and use a level to ensure it's nice and straight. Then, drive in those screws until they're snug against the body of the doorbell. With that done, strip away about half an inch of sheathing from each wire coming out of the back of the device.
Now twist each of those exposed wires around their respective terminals on the faceplate... and with that, your installation is complete! Just reattach your battery pack (or connect to power if you're using wired installation), and you're all set to start monitoring your doorstep easily.
